The body of work looks at the possibility of the Angel choosing to relinquish his immortality by becoming human. The work can be viewed as an investigation of questions generated in the meeting of articles of faith with the existential challenges imposed by modern life, or it can be viewed in more universal terms as a metaphor for the difficulty of overcoming a confinement or inhibition.
